Shallow Grave

Roommates David, Julia and Alex, the greatest trinity of Edinburgh, are looking for a fourth man who they find in the mysterious Hugo. But soon after he moves in they find him stark naked and dead in his room with underneath his bed a suitcase full of money. A series of bad decisions are made and from that moment it all goes down hill: the bloody consequences of self-absorbedness.

With the making of black comedy SHALLOW GRAVE another trinity was born. It was the first collaboration of director Danny Boyle, scriptwriter John Hodge and producer Andrew Macdonald and it ended way less disastrous. They continued making incredible films amongst which are TRAINSPOTTING and it’s long awaited sequel.
Another important note: SHALLOW GRAVE is Ewan McGregor’s acting debut.
