Save the dates!
The dates of the 13th edition of Roffa Mon Amour Festival have been set: from August 13th until August 24th, we will screen a film every night. Like last summer, the festival will take place at Brutus: a sculpture garden with larger-than-life artworks by Joep van Lieshout. As an integral part of the festival, we hereby invite you to join our crew!
We have six roles opening up this year:
- Information desk + popcorn: you are responsible for setting up the kiosk, preparing and selling popcorn, and any visitor questions.
- Bar: together with our dear partner Kaapse Brouwers you will be responsible for making and selling drinks together with the bar manager. Previous service experience is a pro but not required.
- Scanning tickets: You will be the first point of contact at the entrance, welcoming our visitors to the Roffa Mon Amour experience.
- Handing out the headphones and collecting them when the film is done. You make sure they are functional and ready to use. No headphones = no film!
- Context programme: you will assist our team with extended context programmes, specifically our beautiful community dinners before the screenings. Volunteers for the context programme usually have their shifts earlier than others, but you are, of course, welcome to stay afterwards!
- A-team: This role is a little different as you’ll be active before and after the festival dates, namely: August 11, 12 and 25. In this role you will truly get to experience the behind the scenes of our film festival. Together with our production you will assist in building up the festival and contribute to its final look, feel and vibe.
As usual, you can do many different roles during the festival, and you can of course watch one or several movies in return for volunteering shift(s). We will also make sure there are snacks and drinks for you during and after your shift.
All shifts start at 19:30 and end at 23:30, except for those in context programme. These shifts start around 16:30 and end around 20:30.
Like always, we close the festival with our sweet crew dinner.
If you are interested please save the dates and let me know which day(s) and roles you want to volunteer in by sending an email to producer@roffamonamour.com. I will schedule you for your preferred days and positions and send you a confirmation. If you want to volunteer with friends, invite them and let me know. I will do my best to schedule you in the same shifts. If you are not yet sure, you can let me know you have saved the date and I shall keep you posted and we can allocate you later.
