Roffa Mon Amour + Wester Paviljoen: TOEGETAKELD DOOR DE LIEFDE

On Thursday, July 11, Roffa Mon Amour and Wester Paviljoen screened the iconic Rotterdamse film, Toegetakeld door de liefde (2013) by Ari Deelder. This is a recap post of the night.

The night started with a recitation of Rotterdam city-related poems by Lars van der Werff, a writer from Rotterdam.

After this, the director, Ari Deelder came in front of the audience and explaned how this film was made, revealing that it was actually made for a quarter of a million euros ans shot in just over two weeks. Her father, a famous Rotterdamse icon Jules Deelder was living just across the street of Wester Paviljoen!
