Welcome to your most magical open-air film festival in Rotterdam. From Wednesday, August 14 until Sunday, August 25 2024 the festival celebrates cinematic talent from around the world, presenting films at night at a special location. Roffa Mon Amour thrills and moves you with a selection of colorful and daring films from new and known filmmakers, live music with film, and film talks. So get ready to enter the playful art garden that is Brutus, where we’ll take you from Lebanon to Brazil and back again from Japan to Rotterdam.

FAQ
When and where does the festival take place?
The festival takes place from August 14 until August 25 in the open air in the sculpture garden of Brutus in Rotterdam West, Keilestraat 18.
What if the weather is not nice?
The rain doesn’t stop us! Bring your rain jacket and enjoy a film in the summer rain. However, if there is a storm, we can’t help but cancel the screening. In that case, you can choose whether use your ticket for another screening or get a refund.
Do you need volunteers?
Yes we do! If you’re interested in becoming volunteers, please send an email to crew@roffamonamour.com !
What time does the film start?
The film starts when it’s dark outside – between 21.15 and 21.30 depending on the programme. You will receive an email with further information.
Do the films have English subtitles?
Yes! All films are available with English subtitles.
Can I bring a drink form outside the festival to go with the movie?
Sorry, that’s not allowed! However, you will be able to order a drink at the bar that opens at 8pm.
How come there's no food?!
We’re offering the classical cinema experience – just you, movie and popcorn! However, this year we will offer you two evenings with two special dinners! But, if you want some tips for places around the festival, try: Keilecafe, Injera Habesha and Shaami Huis.
Why is the bar closed after the film?
According to the regulations from the government, the event should wrap up after 11pm. As such, we cannot be keeping the bar open.
Are dogs welcome at the festival?
Of course! We welcome all paw-some film lovers.
I am on a wheelchair, is the festival accessible?
Yes! The floor is flat, so it’s ideal for wheelchairs.
