“Beautiful Marcos stuck in conservative, rural Argentina”
In rural Argentina we meet young Marcos (Walter Rodríguez) who lives with his mother Olga (Catalina Saaveda), his father Carlos (German De Silva) and his older brother on a remote farm. While his brother and father handle the heavier tasks, Marcos stays close to his mother or in his own secret world where he can freely enjoy his passion for beautiful fabrics of femininely shaped clothing, shiny jewelry and dancing. Striking feature debut Marilyn is based on a tragic true story director Martín Roderíguez Redondo read in the newspapers ten years ago. Lots of research and castings later he presented us Marilyn, which we – watching it in Berlin this year – immediately knew belonged in the Roffa Mon Amour program.
