Queer Connection

Join for an engaging activity by Queer Rotterdam before the film screening of But I’m a Cheerleader (1999). 

Queer Rotterdam is a collective of local queers. Their aim is to connect, support and empower the people from the Rotterdam queer community. 

This event is designed to encourage queer individuals to connect in a fun and inclusive environment. The evening starts with a warm welcome and instructions from Zan (she/her), followed by participants choosing stickers that reveal aspects of their identity and preferences (dating, friendship, relationship style etc.).

Participants will engage in group discussions guided by question cards, grouped into envelopes by their level of “spicy” (from light to deep questions). Small groups of 3 to 5 will rotate throughout the event, ensuring everyone meets multiple people, similar to a speed dating format. After structured group mingling, there will be an open mingling session to reconnect with those you feel a connection with. The goal is to help queer individuals meet new people, build connections, and possibly find a date for the film later.
