Theater Rotterdam loves cinema just like us! Especially when created by local talents. Every month we present a Short Film. This time we’re going to present is Nina Gantz‘s Wander to Wonder. This event is held on Wednesday November 20 (19:00 – 22:00).

About the film

Mary, Billybud, and Fumbleton are three tiny humans who star in a kids’ TV series called “Wander to Wonder”. After the creator dies, they are left alone in the studio. Struggling to find enough to eat, they continue to make increasingly strange episodes for their fans.

Mary, Billybud en Fumbleton zijn drie ieniemienie televisiesterren van de kindertelevisieserie “Wander to Wonder”. Nadat de maker van de show is overleden, blijven ze alleen achter in de studio. Geplaagd door honger en verdriet ploeteren ze door en maken ze steeds vreemdere afleveringen voor hun fans. 

The filmmaker

Nina Gantz is a Dutch Brighton-based Animation Director.

​She graduated from the National Film and Television School with her animated  short film, EDMOND, which received 38 awards including a BAFTA and the Sundance award for Best Animated Short. Her latest short film Wander to Wonder premiered at the Venice Film Festival and is now showing at festivals around the world, having picked up several awards including Best Animated Short at SXSW. She finds inspiration in combining different techniques, such as stop-motion, puppetry and live action.
