Skate Short Contest Winners

On Saturday, July 22nd we screened Zombie: The Resurrection of Tim Zom (2014) at Skateland. It was also a great occasion to celebrate new film talents with the skate short contest we organized. Thank you to everyone who submit their short they were all amazing!

However, the skate short by Aileen Ye, I Didn’t dare to Speak (2021), exceeded our expectations with its beautiful shots and touching story. If you’re curious to know more about it, have a look at it:

We also added a new prize for another exceptional skate film short by Megan Tatem. Starting in 2020, Vogue Nights: The Aftermath is a (mini) episodic skate series that examines the overlap of two disparate New York City subcultures: skateboarding and voguing. Here’s a sneak peek at one of the episodes screened:
