Your Favorite Skate Film
Roffa Mon Amour is joining forces with Skateland, Susan Bijl, LantarenVenster, and Zomer op Zuid for a screening at Skateland on July 22!
Skateland is turning into an open-air cinema that welcomes the skate community in Rotterdam to watch an iconic skate film. For the first time at Roffa Mon Amour, you can choose the film you’re going to watch! We selected for you our favorite skate films.
You just need to vote here for the film you want to watch on the big screen before June 30! We will announce the winning film a few days after.
The films selected:
- Paranoid Park (2007) by Gus van Sant: A teenage skateboarder’s life begins to fray after he is involved in an accidental death.
- Skate Kitchen (2018) by Crystal Moselle: Follow a teenager skater making friends with a bunch of other skateboarding girls in New York City.
- Kids (1995) by Larry Clark: A day in the life of a group of teens as they travel around New York City skating, drinking, smoking and deflowering virgins.
- Minding the Gap (2018) Bing Liu: Three young men bond through skateboarding to escape their volatile family life.
- Zombie (2014) The Resurrection of Tim Zoe by Billy Pols: Tim breaks free from a dark, criminal life by falling in love, embracing the streets and redefining himself as one of the most distinguished Skateboarders
